Marco Pistorello

Twenty seven year old Marco Pistorello grew up in Venezia, Italy, lived in Paris and has since developed an on and off relationship with California specifically San francisco, and L.A. For now he lives in London where he is currently working on his next album.

Marco Pistorello:
[In Europe] “Before 2001 I played with a few different bands, the most dear of which to me was a black metal group that lasted for many years. After underdog success in the European underground metal scene of the 90s, death of one member and disbanding I formed a rock and roll trio with me fronting as guitarist/singer. Music very much influenced by Ramones, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC but very modern at the same time. It was great vibes and great local success, but it didn’t go very far. I started travelling, which was very inspirational with song writing. I always played acoustic guitar on the side, and [on his solo debut] I thought to put down some of the songs I have always been playing.”

After a kidney injury, which confined him to a hospital bed for ten days and a subsequent six months of quiet time without vice, Marco had time to reflect both on his music and his desire to travel. When he was healthy again he traveled a bit and then settled in L.A. to record his pop riddled, jangly acoustic solo debut.
